The 2019 2nd Annual Bicycle Ride sponsored by the Douglasville Police Department is happening on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 8am – 10am at the Douglasville Police Department, 2083 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA. 30135. The registration fee is $25.00 and includes a t-shirt.
Registration deadline is September 27th. Check-in time is 7:00am and the ride will depart promptly at 8:00am.
This is a rain or shine event, so no refunds. AGES 18 & UP – 30.23 MILES – FREE T-SHIRT

This is a big event with vendors, touch-a-truck, K-9 demonstration, bounce houses, and more. Vendor Registration deadline is October 4th. This is a rain or shine event.

Guidelines for Vendors:
o October 12, 2019 – Set up from 07:00 am – 9:30 am (NO SET UPS AFTER 9:30 am) RAIN OR SHINE
o Space rental is $25.00 – Table / tent / electricity are the responsibility of the vendor and will not be provided. NON-REFUNDABLE.
o Set up and take down of booth will be the responsibility of the vendor in the designated area.

Michael is the music producer of the first four NY Times bestselling Pete The Cat Books and the co-founder of The Learning Groove. Class Outline:
Part I | Demonstration
There will be a quick 30-minute demo to cover a variety of techniques to be employed throughout the workshop and to ensure students are familiar with their materials.
Part II | Class Work
Instructor will provide mini-demos for students as you work through progressive steps to produce 2 – 4, 5” x 7“ watercolor paintings. Instructor will assist as needed with any of the steps.
Part III | Q&A
Q&A wrap up with students having received a handout covering supplies and topics discussed in workshop. The techniques learned will allow students to generate more pieces at home with confidence.

Cultural Arts Council 23rd Annual Chili Cook Off
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is delighted to announce the 23rd annual Chili Cook Off competition in downtown Douglasville on Saturday, October 19th from 6-9 p.m. This fun-filled fundraising event will be held in conjunction with the Rogue Runners Moonlight Run. All proceeds will benefit the CAC and its programs throughout the year.
Join us for the Children’s Halloween Costume Contest portion of the evening. We can’t let the kids have all the fun, join the adult costume contest.

We want to break the Guinness Book of World Record of 701 people at one time! Participating in this game is a once in a lifetime opportunity and you will be a part of it. Your support will help bring the community together to play knockout and raise $10,000 to support our community Cancer Warriors.
By donating you allow us to continue giving Families the wonderful gift of a clean home while undergoing cancer treatments. Our goal is to raise $10,000 this year to help clean one cancer patients home per week. Your gift will let these brave and strong women focus on their health.
